Kislak Collection at the Library of Congress, has been extended through Saturday, Sept. 24. “The Cultures & History of the Americas” is on view Monday-Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the North Gallery of the Great Hall of the Thomas Jefferson Building, 10 First St. S.E. The closest Metrorail stop is Capitol South on the Blue and Orange lines. To acquaint visitors and scholarly audiences with the Kislak Collection—which focuses on the history of the early Americas, from the indigenous peoples of Mexico through the period of European contact, exploration and settlement—the highlights exhibition presents some 50 artifacts that introduce the themes of the larger collection.
