The first to violate immigration laws in this case were the Australian authorities, who then had to resort to extraordinary powers to cancel his visa and deport him. People strumentalised it as a pro-vax / no-vax issue... But that was not the problem. It's really disheartening to see how misinformed and biased people are on this issue. people need to realise that Australia has some of the most rigorous boarder controls and this is not surprising.

 Life for many has changed. What happened to being kind? I swear attitudes have worsened. How about respecting each other? Whether to wear a mask or not is personal choice. If you chose not to wear one then respect those that are. Dont stand right over them in a supermarket or any public space. Give that person a bit of space. Just respect everyone's personal space, My priorities have changed over the past few years. I prioritise my family and my colleagues. Working in a nursery we have a few covid cases. We'd have and will continue with what we have learnt over the years with regard to all areas of our work, cleaning and hygiene routines.. limiting the number of visitors coming inside etc. Personally I am quite happy with prioritising what I do and who I see.

 If you decide to go completely one way because of social pressure or because it looks like you are being very PC then the critics may not be racist but simply objecting to your reasoning. I hope the Royal Shakespeare Company has reported these "racist reaction"s to the police, racism is after all a crime in the UK. We constantly hear about "racist" comments and reactions day after day in articles like this and yet they never divulge what the racist incidents/comments actually were. If people are actually racist report it to the police and show what they said online rather than expecting us all just to take your word for it. I think it would be fine if it was a mix of black and white actors - if we’re not bothered about racial accuracy - and I’m not.

 It's a fantastic idea and shouldnt be an issue in today's society, but sadly it is! I can understand the reassurance for the caller known they are chatting to someone and feel they have company, and I would also like to think this would be a deterrent to an attacker! Sadly woman are attacked to often these days, and it's sad that men can't appreciate woman without coming out all sleezeball! I have a 21 yr old daughter. She calls me often to hang on the phone w me till she gets home.  How are other supermarkets guilt tripping you exactly? Are they following you around waving a mask at you telling you that if you don't wear one then you're putting peoples lives at risk or something? Glenn Palmer actually when you enter a supermarket and they have a notice asking you to still wear a mask 'for the sake of other customer's and there's a member of staff with a box of masks held out to you, yes that is saying " people who care about others will wear masks but if you don't wear a mask ..." By the way I am triple vaccinated and recently had covid myself. People should be free to choose for themselves and I often will choose to wear a mask in the future.

 David Gordon, it's all about freedom to them, isn't it? We fought for freedom and we should be free to decide whether we wear masks. But they're using a weird libertarian version of freedom, which basically means doing whatever you want whenever you want and forget the consequences for anyone else.
