They had to push goods through under the fence behind the police backs to make sure the guys who have no washing facilities and not enough toilets had something to eat last night. How these drivers are being treated is disgusting, to say the least. I'm a bit confused though. If France, as a Sovereign state/country in the EU, can close/control it's borders, it follows that any EU state/country can do the same. So that means when Britain was in the EU, we could have closed/ controlled our borders when we wished. Or am I missing something? we have never shut our borders that is why we have the worst death toll in Europe.
