The film, which is slated for national broadcast, savors everyday life in this small Polish market town through the intimacies of historic photographs and the reminiscences of former residents. The documentary's intent is to honor every life extinguished by human hatred and to point out that people are individuals before they become victims. Following the screening, the producers, Ron Steinman, former NBC News Bureau Chief in Saigon, Hong Kong and London and Eileen Douglas, former news anchor for 1010 WINS Radio in New York City, will take questions from the audience. The Library of Congress has approved a proposal from the Providence Public Library for the establishment of a Rhode Island Center for the Book that will be affiliated with the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress. "We welcome this initiative," said Center for the Book Director John Y. Cole.
