We are limiting the sale of e10 to £20 per person NOT because of shortage but because the sheer volume of traffic is causing chaos and distress to our many elderly residents in the village. We are keeping the flow of customers going. This categorically HAS to be a short term measure. Industry has been VERY naive to just sit back and hope that everything will come out in the wash fine, following Brexit (not withstanding that there is a shortage of drivers across the continent). Industry had several years to start training up UK based people (British or with ILR) and improve pay and working conditions. Flooding the market again with cheap, overseas labour is simply a sticking plaster job. Funny that there's no food or petrol shortages here in Portugal!. It seems that whatever direction you look in the UK the current government are screwing the country up badly, blaming it on everyone and everything else and not taking any responsibility themselves.
