 It’s not a case of not respecting life or the life of those with Down’s syndrome but allowing people to make a terribly awful choice, they are not going to terminate late term on a whim and are not allowed to either as there is strict protocols in lace for a late term termination. At the end of the day of an issue is not detected before 24 weeks but it turns out your child is incompatible with life or will live life severely disabled and possibly in pain then you have the right to make a choice. In my opinion if you abort a child at the age where survival at birth is possible then you are no different then a murderer you can do many test before 24 weeks to find out if their is any disability’s so you have plenty of time to decide what to do but to leave it that long then think you know what it’s to hard so il get rid is wrong if you feel you can’t cope at the end stage then there is always adoption there is plenty of families that would love that little one and would be more then willing to take them on.
