  Thankfully I had a great ER team that pinpointed it quickly, after a rough 5 day stay in hospital I was finally able to go back home with my family. This brings me so much joy! I went in to hospital suspecting I had it at 28 weeks as I was showing lots of signs of it. They said at this time it was nothing to worry about. I was diagnosed with preeclampsia at 37+3 and was sent straight to hospital. I was induced 2 days later after being on bedrest in hospital with BP of 168/108. Had a lot of issues with my birth and baby was in NICU for 5 days. I'm so happy people can now get tested for it sooner! This is amazing and surprising it isn't already standard. My daughter and I were lucky that we didn't get to critical level but I had very swollen legs that my cat could leave paw prints in for hours, protein in my sample, high blood pressure (for me, normal within regular readings) and my mum had preeclampsia with me (she was really poorly and I was 7 weeks early) yet they still just had me go to community checks daily or twice daily for a week before deciding to induce me on ok n her due date.

 Toddlers and puppies can work well together but the puppy needs to be temperament tested and growing up alongside the toddler ( difficult enough, with all the appropriate care and training that a young puppy demands). My condolences. This shouldn't have happened. Poor parents. This is what happen when you love animal more than humans..the European have given more value to animals ahead of human's and the more this grows the more of this they shall get..my heart goes goes to the baby poor mother. Everyone thinks it's so cool to "rescue" a dog....but why is the adult dog "available" to be rescued? Likely prior problems or incomplete training. There is a good reason to get a puppy with kids, and wait until kids are old enough to responsibly interact with a pet. Miriam Schumacher if a dog ends up in rescue due to previous problems with aggression that dog won't be passed on to a family with kids.

  All of the comments around 'you shouldn't have a dog around a child' are something I 100% disagree with. I think dogs and children together can be wonderful in most cases. However, owners do seem to forget that they are a different species. We've had our dog since a pup and he is like our child too. He is gentle and very sweet and is affectionately called our fur baby. But I still would not trust him to be left alone with our human baby. He is a dog, and she is a baby. It's just the way it is. obviously a devastating story beyond anyone's worst imagination. this comment is not meant to victim blame whatsoever but when I was a baby my dad brought home a collie (typically a gentle breed). my mom said get that thing outta here! and they did. I am an animal lover all my life!!! they are absolutely the best BUT they can be unpredictable. Unless the dog has been around other babies or trained you don't know how it will behave.
