And we NEED to fix them, if we ever want a truly fair society. It all starts with recognising, listening, learning, and understanding. Paul Shrimpton your analogy is appropriate. The comments about it are not ! One of these days a Hull, Yorkshire man, William Wilberforce, will be given the respect he deserves and be recognised for whom he was. Wilberforce stopped the slave trade and then slavery itself. No remembrance in Hyde Park but there is still time. This is utterly disgraceful and only serves to divide people by their skin colour. Why do they keep doing this when people come to live in this country the whole idea is supposed to be integration but now all they are interested in is dividing society. Be Clear this, Black history month is not about changing the past it’s about correcting the lies and the gaps in our countries history.
