I agree, the problem is we are asking the most vulnerable in our society to carry the biggest burden so the rest of us can go on as normal. completely impossible. Vulnerable doesn't just mean old people. A lot of the vulnerable are young people with families that go to work or school. All well and good saying shield the vulnerable but it's just not possible. For me to shield it would mean pulling 3 children from education too but the Swedish approach would be more sustainable in the long run than these punitive lockdowns! I didn’t say only the elderly, but ALL groups of people considered vulnerable to the pandemic including those with underlying health conditions. The lockdown approach hasn’t worked.
